ear infections

ok we all have kids that get them, but it really sucks because i still get them, i woke up at 5 am with the worst pain in the world in my ear, a few moments later, my ear was leaking, my ear drum ruptured, do any of you know ant home tips that help make them get better faster, ive used heating pads, vioden for pain and im taking meds to help heal them

It sounds like you're doing all you can.

If your eardrum has ruptured, I would be reluctant to use ANY home remedies. You run the risk of introducing bacteria...given the hole in the eardrum, the bacteria could travel and set up for a serious infection that would be much more difficult to treat.

To PREVENT them you can put a couple of drops of white vinegar in your ears, after they've healed. Usually, though, there is an underlying cause like allergies or a recent cold/virus that causes drainage which starts the whole process going. You might want to look into something for allergies if you suspect that.

any home remedies for childs ear infections? hate having them on anties all the time and do they really work or just a cover-up for pain?

I had a doctor say to put a few drops of olive oil in the ear (and a cotton ball if you want, to catch the drips).

For one, it helps dissolve the wax and clean the ear so when yo go to the doctor they can see in easily. But most importantly, it is supposed to be soothing for the pain.

However, if it is an ear infection, I think antibiotics are the key to getting rid of them and keeping them from getting worse. There's just no way around it, that I'm aware of...
