Having raised kids thru the telephone at work I wouldn't ge if I didn't need the money. So many times I was working literally so the kids could eat dinner and yet I felt so terribly guilty. The choice is yours of course but being you asked I would stay home and be there for the kids. It is tough to stay home and it often gets to the point where you want to scream for some alone/me time. Find it somehow even if it is thru volunteer work. The kids will grow up while you are at work. Think of all the 2st times you might miss. I missed almost all of them with my son but had no choice in the matter. Sometimes seeing them must take second place to providing for their needs. Remember making a liveing is to provide what is needed for that living. The real life is what happens at home and WITH the kids. Just my opinion of course.

well my first day is sunday, they are being really great about the days i need off and told me at anytime i start to really miss my kids that my hubby or sitter can bring the kids in at any time so i can see them so that makes me feel alot better. im still sad about not being here when they get home form school but at the same time it will be nice3 to have the paycheck come in and know that i can do what i need with it and beable to get my kids more of what they want without saying im sorry we dont have the money.
im looking forward to getting out of the house and start to have a life beside kids, dont get me wrong, i love my kids and i love being home with them but at the same time i need a break

Krissy, I agree with that! I don't work outside the home yet but did put in an application at our local school.
Yes it's important to be there for the kids, but you need your time too and it's nice to have your own money!
I'm sure the kids will do fine and it's great you have an understanding boss.
Good luck with the new job!!
