I wish I knew how to stop Melissa's fascination with the toilet. I'm so in tune now that I can hear her open the lid from anywhere in the house and drop everything to run and get her before she splashes too much. Yesterday she must have been thirsty because I caught her dipping a cup of water to drink. I'll be VERY glad when this stage is over!

that is too funny but scary too... my daughter (11) still pulls gum off the underside of tables and attempts to chew it when i am not looking ICK! What nasty habits some of them carry, right into tweenhood!

EW....I knew a kid who would eat the gum from under tables and chairs. My niece has a fascination with trash. I hear her playing in the trash can. I close the lid but she lifts it up and starts digging. The trash can is big so she grabs the bag, backs up in her walker and pulls it down. She suceeded once. Now I hear when she's messing with it. I'm just glad she doesn't eat the bag. She wants whats in the trash.

I've had a couple that were fascinated by the trash, too. Maybe it's just because it's off-limits?

When i used to work with kids, i remember that one kid liked to eat food right off the floor!
i always kept an eye out for him
