CleverMoms Coupons and Deals Forums: HOW TO ADD PHOTOS TO YOUR POSTS

There are several ways to do this, but here is a fairly easy way!

I’m putting pretty detailed step-by-step directions here, but once you do it a time or 2, you’ll realize it’s very easy and not as detailed as this makes it seem! Some steps, like setting up your initial account, you only have to do the first time!

1. Sign up for a free photo hosting account from a website such as http://www.photobucket.com (Free and easy!)
2. Once you register you can use their tool to upload photos from your computer to their site. Select “upload” and then use the “browse” to find your picture on your computer and then click on “Upload” and it will copy the photo onto the site into your online account.
3. Now your photo is in your personal online album but you might need to scroll down the page to view your picutres.

To resize or edit photos:

• Once the photo is uploaded, you can use the tools to edit your image, including re-sizing it so that it doesn’t show up as HUGE when you post it to the forums!

• In photobucket, you click on “edit” above your photo. Select “resize” and then choose a size (avatar, thumbnail, website/email, message board, etc.) If the size is still too big, or too small, you can always change it again.

Getting your photo to appear on the forums.
1. Whichever web hosting site you use, there will be some “codes” listed near your photo.
2. Click on the box that says “IMG Code”. In photobucket, just normally clicking on this box it will automatically “copy” it.
3. Go to a new posting on the forums.
4. Click on “Image” under the box that says “Instant UBB Code”.
5. (If you have script blocking set up on your computer you may need to temporarily “allow” scripting, then click on “Image” again in order for the pop-up box to appear.)
6. A box will pop up: in that box right click and paste to insert the code you just copied from your photo album page.
7. Click “ok”
8. Scroll down and click “continue” making sure the “I want to preview my post” box is checked. From there you can see how your photo will appear, add additional text, etc.

If you need to resize or edit your photo, go back to your photobucket album and edit and resize and then repost the new code to the forums.
