My oldest daughter was recently diagnosed with MS. Does anyone have any information they could share about how to deal with this illness? I don't mean medications or the like but how the family can help out and deal with the changes that are occuring. She is not doing realy well and hasn't for some time. Only now we know why. There are little kids and then there is my sadness at seeing my child and reading what all may lie in her future. Copeing and excepting is not coming to us very easilly. Any tips and suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear your news and that your family is dealing iwth this. I don't know anything really to offe for advice, but I would imagine you could find a support group or something like that? MS is a well known and publicized disease, so there should be a lot of resources for you.

Montel Williams has it, and has written a book about it I think.

Thanks so much for telling me how your MS is going. It makes things MUCH easier when I can think of someone with the illness who is doing well. Seems when I cleck the internet I get so much of the extream bad cases! Your story shows me that it isn't always such a horrendous outcome all the time. You give me hope. Thanks again.

Ida, our thoughts and prayers are with you, I have a brother who was diaganosed 5 years ago, it can be devestating, he has the most rapid progressive form of MS and he is not taking it well, make sure she has someone to talk to and there are support groups out there, you can google MS and your state, thats how I got started.. God Bless
