Reged: 02/22/06 Posts: 2714 Loc: CT Re: broken finger...       02/24/08 03:31 PM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   All three of my son's have broken their fingers.(Basketball & Football) They all had to see an orthopedic surgeon but none of them needed surgery.It took one of my sons 12 weeks for it to completely heal. Then it was so stiff from being in the cast the orthopedic surgeon gave him different size rubber balls to squeeze to get motion back.He started with a big ball and you squeeze it so many times, then the next week he went on to a smaller size ball.He did that for 1 month and then he was fine. They haven't had any problems after and are still playing their sports. Wishing your son a speedy recovery and I hope everything turns out well. Post Extras
