(Actually it was rather funny as I was sparring with my daughter and SHE broke the bones kicking me!) The break at the side of my hand healed rather quickly but the finger took a bit longer. Of course the fact I used it at work and endured it for three days before getting it set didn't help much. But, after a few months it was barely noticable that anything was ever broken. And I was one mean karate woman with my bright pink cast... no one wanted to fight me for some silly reason.... couldn't get my daughter out on the floor at all! Hope he heals fast.
